Our findings paved the way for the design of our plant label stakes, which officially launched in early 2007. We invested heavily in tooling to ensure that our products could be manufactured economically right here in the UK.

Expanding the Range

Initially, our label stakes accommodated only 50mm and 75mm labels. However, as demand grew, we expanded our offerings to include stands for 100mm and 150mm labels and plaques. Now, our plant label holders can accommodate any length of label, with only the height being a restriction. This versatility allows gardeners to customize their labelling according to their specific needs.

Durable and Weather-Resistant Design

Crafted from powder-coated steel, our label holders are built to last. Before powder coating, the steel undergoes a phosphate bath, enhancing its resistance to rust and the elements. This durable construction ensures that the label holders can withstand heavy winds and the rigors of garden maintenance, reducing the risk of damage from garden mowers or errant weather.

The head of our label holders features two raised areas designed to securely hold engraved labels—available in both 1.5mm thick plastic laminate and 1mm thick metal. This engineering ensures that even on windy days, your labels stay firmly in place, eliminating the hassle of frequent adjustments.

Innovative Features

Our label stakes can be sourced with or without a spade. The arrow-shaped spade welded to the bottom of longer stems prevents the entire holder from spinning in the soil—a common complaint among gardeners using similar products. This thoughtful design consideration came directly from our original market research, which highlighted the frustration of constantly reorienting labels that turned like windmills in the garden.

 Versatile Options for Every Gardener

We offer a variety of stem lengths, including 200mm, 315mm, 400mm, 540mm, and 900mm. Our two shorter label stakes (H50200NS and H75200NS) are ideal for labelling potted plants or can be inserted into bamboo canes—an aesthetically pleasing and cost-effective option that many gardeners already have on hand. This adaptability allows for a seamless integration into any garden setting.
