We don't just sell labels. We manufacture them.
Since 2007, we've been designing and producing bespoke labels, tags, plaques, label holders, and other engraved products from our workshop.
From a single personalised plant labels and plaques to larger quantities, we combine modern manufacturing technology with a hands-on, personal approach. Our products are made for gardens, nurseries, botanical collections, schools, businesses, memorials, public spaces and customers who simply need something a little different.
And because we manufacture in-house, we can do what many generic label suppliers can't: make the product to suit your requirements, rather than asking you to choose from whatever happens to be available.
Our Story
The Garden Label & Sign Company was established in 2007 by Beverley Garden, and the business has remained rooted in the North East ever since.
What began as a small operation has developed into an established manufacturing business supplying customers throughout the UK and overseas.
Today, our base is at Number One Industrial Estate in Consett, County Durham, alongside our other division, 908 Ltd, where our team manages everything from customer enquiries and artwork through to manufacturing, finishing, packing and despatch.
Our experience has grown considerably over the years, but our approach hasn't changed:

We Manufacture In-House
Your order isn't simply passed to an anonymous third-party manufacturer. We manufacture our products ourselves, giving us greater control over quality, materials, design, and finishing. It also means we can work with you to create something that isn't necessarily a standard product.
Different size, shape, material, fixing, logo, or layout? We'll look at what's possible.
Modern Technology.
We use two state-of-the-art laser engraving and cutting machines to produce accurate, detailed, and consistent products. We manufacture a wide range of products, including:

- Metal and plastic engraved labels

- Memorial and commemorative plaques
- Nameplates and signs
- School and educational labels
- Logo and QR-code products
- Bespoke and specially shaped products
We work with metal, plastic and wood materials largely supplied by our other division, 908 Ltd, giving us the flexibility to recommend the right material for your application.
We can engrave text, logos, symbols and QR codes, as well as cut products into bespoke shapes.
But technology is only part of the process. Our experience helps us choose the right material, manufacturing method, and finishing process for each job. Maintaining detailed records for every job ensures consistency in layout and design for repeat orders.

It's simple:
1. Tell us what you need
Send us your requirements, dimensions, artwork, photographs or ideas.
2. We'll advise you
We'll look at the material, design, fixing method and best way to manufacture it.
3. Approve the artwork
Where required, we'll prepare artwork for you to check before production.
4. We manufacture it
Once approved, your product is made in our Consett workshop.
5. We check & despatch
Every order is checked, packed, and prepared for delivery.
